We recently held the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our new Dallas warehouse and corporate offices on a chilly February evening. The event was attended by employees and their families. Also present were representatives from MAKEEN Energy A/S, GEC’s parent company.
The festivities started with opening remarks from Anders C. Anderson, MAKEEN Energy CEO / Managing Director and Gijs M., GEC CEO. Followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony with Gijs and Bo Larsen, MAKEEN Energy CCO / Commercial Director, manning the scissors and encouragement from Anders and Skeeter LaDue, GEC Advisory Board Member and former GEC CEO.
Once all the formalities had taken place, the real business began – Food and Fun! There was BBQ was prepared by GEC’s very own Oscar Rivera and his Backyard Buzzards Smoker. Music was provided by The Western Flyers a local western swing band. And the kids, little and big, had fun playing arcade style basketball, giant Connect Four, and gif creating photo booth to name a few games provided. And everyone was given tours of the new offices and warehouse. All in all, about 130 people attended the event.
We moved into our new home in Carrollton, TX, a suburb of Dallas, mid-December 2022 after being in our former location for over 60 years.
