A Week to Connect, Reflect, and Align
Last week, the leaders of the European Gas Equipment entities came together in Denmark for a full week of collaboration, reflection, and strategic alignment. The gathering was attended by Gijs Majoor, CEO of MAKEEN Gas Equipment, and Christian Fredberg, Director of MAKEEN Gas Equipment Europe, who joined their colleagues from across the region to connect in person and focus on the shared journey ahead. The meeting offered a rare and valuable opportunity to step away from day-to-day operations and engage in meaningful conversations about the business, the industry, and the future.
Focused discussions on future growth
The core of the week was dedicated to shaping the strategic outlook for MAKEEN Gas Equipment in Europe. From exploring emerging market opportunities and reviewing global supplier agreements to evaluating the broader business landscape, the discussions were ambitious, insightful, and action oriented. Leadership teams worked to align on long-term objectives, sharpen priorities, and identify new paths for growth. Special attention was given to how the entities can operate more cohesively across markets, ensuring that local strengths are harnessed in a way that benefits the group. It was clear throughout the sessions that, while each entity faces unique challenges, the collective vision is both shared and strong.
Learning from Each Other, Growing Together
Equally important to the strategic agenda was the focus on learning from one another. The diversity of experience and expertise around the table made for rich and engaging exchanges. Leaders shared their perspectives on operational efficiency, innovation, and customer needs, highlighting both differences and commonalities across regions. These dialogues not only led to a deeper understanding of the business as a whole but also laid the foundation for closer collaboration going forward. By strengthening cross-border relationships and encouraging open communication, the team took important steps toward building a more unified and agile organisation.
Moments That Made a Difference
While the working sessions were intensive and productive, the week was also punctuated by lighter, informal moments that brought a human touch to the proceedings. Shared meals, spontaneous conversations, and plenty of laughter reminded everyone that strong business relationships are built not only on planning and performance, but on trust and camaraderie. These moments helped to reinforce the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect that defines MAKEEN Gas Equipment’s European culture. As participants returned to their respective countries, they carried with them not only a clearer strategic direction, but also a renewed sense of purpose and belonging within the wider organisation.
